Life Cycle is a painting/object that I created in 2002. When I showed this painting to medium Loes van Loon, she responded: Life Cycle.
I hadn’t thought of a title for it yet and then thought, “that sounds fine.” When I wanted to discuss it further, her answer remained: Life Cycle. Apparently, her guides did not want to reveal anything more about it at that time.
It wasn’t until 2024 that I began to understand what I had painted back then. As I understand it now, this is a representation of the Milky Way, featuring a wave motion that astronomers sometimes refer to as the Galactic Sheet or Parker Spiral. This is an energetic wave movement that sweeps through the Milky Way, activating the stars approximately every 12,000 years. The Earth will also experience this in the near future (in a few decades).
This energy will likely bring about significant changes, possibly even disasters, which is why it is often referred to as a Cycle of Destruction. However, it is essentially a transformation cycle, or… as we are told by Loes’ guides, a Life Cycle.
You can see stars in the outer layers, but closer to the center, the stars are enveloped in colors that are quite distinct from one another. This is definitely not a rainbow of consecutive colors. Where the stars are located in a color, those stars shine brightly. I would have preferred to create the straight spokes as curved spirals emanating from the center, but at that time, I lacked the skill to do so.
